Alzheimer's & Dementia Care at Home

Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia can be emotionally and physically demanding for families. The right caregiver can bring calm, patience, structure, and reassurance to the day.

Donnette has Alzheimer’s care certification and years of hands-on experience supporting clients with memory loss, confusion, changing routines, and increased need for supervision.

Her approach is gentle, respectful, and steady. She gets to know the person behind the diagnosis — their preferences, routines, stories, comforts, and fears.

  • Calm companionship

  • Help with bathing, dressing, meals, and daily routine

  • Redirection and reassurance

  • Familiar routines to reduce confusion

  • Safety-minded supervision

  • Communication with family members

  • Respect for the client's dignity and independence whenever possible

Dementia care needs can change over time. If a client’s needs become more medical, behavioral, or safety-intensive, the family may need additional clinical support, agency support, or guidance from the client’s medical team.
